"Encapsulate all database operations in a class" by Maxime

After having a look at the code, I think it would be better if all database operations were stored in a class.

The class Db exists, but, outside this class, there are calls to mysql_* functions. This is a problem for porting phpMyVisites to other DBMS.

I may help doing this if you want.

"cloak HIDE the Admin URL in added sites" by GG

Hello: I could not find how to do this so it is a suggestion (i am not a programmer so I have no idea how it could be done).

Site A is admin site. Currently all added sites, B, C, D, E.... have code that reveals and refers back to Site A.

I don't want B, C, D, E.... to have any code to any other site, especially not all leading back to site A.

Surely there must be some way to do this? If there is already a tip on how to make this work (i don't want to install PHPMyVisites on each and every domain! I want an overview of all administered thru the MainSite) -- but HOW?

Please help or please make this a feature if it is not already possible.
thank you!

I don't know if this is an admin or analytic feature; sorry if double posted not sure which is correct.

"Suivre une campagne" by Nicolas

"Hooks for plugins" by marc pasteur

hi,

it would be nice to implements a "hook system" to allow plugin's developper to put an action before/after some standard action.
An example :

    in phpmyvisites.php :
hook_before_new_visit($visitDatas);
... code to record new visit
hook_after_new_visit($visitDatas);

in my_plugin.php
register_hook_for("after_new_visit", "my_plugin_new_visit");

function my_plugin_new_visit($datas){
... what i want to do with the datas
}

So we can implement plugins without changing file phpmyvisites.php

It would be great if phpmv can check some session information. At the installation, we would just have to write the name of the session variables that we want phpmv to save, like for example "login". So we could know which user visited the site.

One means would be to get the page of the engine's answer.
The best solution (for me, not the developpers ;) ) being to get the actual rank of my site for that request.

"Lead/Sales Tracking" by Crusader

Similar to some affiliate programs, it would be great to track the completion of a sale through a web form, or specific action on a web site.

Then have the ability to see the referer & keywords etc for each sale completed. This facility would also require the ability to track and identify individual sessions through the system.

I think this would be great information to have for tracking sales or specific actions on a web site, like form completions or downloads. You would also be able to see what keywords or refering web sites are working for your web site.
