But obviously, it will show that 9 times out of 10, the keyword had a good position.
People don't read 50 pages of results...

So, while interesting I doubt that it will be usefull in the long run.

I would prefer the API solution so I can use the data from phpMyVisites in another specialist application for SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages).

Although 50 results doesn't mean 50 pages. If you have 10 results per page, then thats 5 pages. Normal SERPS solutions look at top 100 results (or top 10 pages of 10 results per page). Also, which search engines would you do this for?

MSN
etc etc

Great idea, but please please can we have the API as well, or instead.....

Depending on the number of results being displayed on each search result page (this is a user defined setting on the search engine GUI), it can be possible to say the position is "between 20 and 29"

I believe that this data is useful to discover search queries that match a site topic but where the site isn't ranked good enough. Then to discover opportunities for SEO.
